Thanks for today's speech. The story of the difference between business English and classroom English was so interesting. I like to talk to my friends who I met in Canada. Then we use English to have communication. And I want to use English for my future job, but I think business English is more difficult than our conversation among friends. I felt that I want to learn various kinds of English more and more. Thank you.

I think making use of English in business is difficult if we only use English normally. I'll watch words or expressions when I write a letter or an e-mail because I sometimes use difficult words. I have to try to consider the person who will read my writing.

I have a feeling of familiarity with him because he is a graduate of this university. And the content of his speech was practical, especially "3C" and how to write a business e-mail. It was an instructive lecture. I think it is great that a graduate of this university can give a speech in English like that. I felt the importance of TOEIC scores for job hunting.

Thank you for your story. I actually learned Business English at an international language school in Toronto this year. And I found it very difficult because Business English is quite different from daily English. But I could learn so many things in the class, such as how to make a call, receive a call, write business letters, and give a presentation. That was very helpful for me to improve my English skill as well. I'm hopefully going to get a job in Toronto by taking advantage of the experience. Thank you very much again!

Thank you for your speech. In his presentation he talked about the necessity of "3C" in business communication. I think we also need it in both domestic and foreign circumstances. Especially, in foreign countries, I think clarity and conciseness are needed. If we don't say anything or say obscure things, foreigners may think Japanese don't have original ideas. In Japan, courtesy is most important, so Japanese have "keigo." From now on, I'll try to pay more attention to these three points.

I was impressed by Mr.Kodo's speech, especially at the end of it; he said, "Try to keep your teachers thrilled and excited" and "Travel abroad." I think it's really important to take classes having many interests. Sometimes I feel bored during a lesson. However, if I take lessons with more interests, every lesson will become exciting! Thank you very much for the speech.

[TITLE]English Skills Required in Today's Global Business Scenes
Listening to Mr.Kodo's speech, I thought learning English in the university is rather different from speaking English in business where we should try to make ourselves understood easily. That's more important than trying to speak correct English. To be able to do that, we should also understand the nuances of English words. I thought we should try to speak English for the sake of the listener's feelings to please them and to attract their interest.

Mr.Kodo told us that he was thinking what was an interesting thing when he was a university student. I think my attitude in class is not positive at all. I am backward when I listen to what teachers say. Therefore, I need to have such an active attitude as he did in the university. I'll try to think about what teachers teach more deeply and connect it with my idea.

I have started "Shukatsu" recently. I'm looking for work in which I can use English. So, today's presentation was useful for me. I often send e-mail to my friends in English, but I have never sent business e-mail. If I work with English in the future, I'll try to pay attention to "clarity,""conciseness," and "courtesy." I want to get a job in a global company like Mr.Kodo!

[TITLE]About Today's Speech
Today's speech turned out to be a good lesson. I was surprised at difference between "business English" and English in classroom. After three years, I will start my adult life. So, I hope to use "good English" which has consideration for "3C" then.

I have thougt that it is years until I use business English. But I'll get a job immediately after graduation. Is there still plenty of time? No. Because time seems short when I'm enjoying myself. So, today's lecture did me a world of good. I haven't been carful about e-mail messages. I go to an English conversation class. When I can't go there, I send an e-mail to my teacher. In my e-mail, I use a pictorical symbol. This is OK, because my teacher and I have know each other for a long time. But if it is in business e-mail, it is not worth mentioning. I have to be careful about the "3C" when I get a job. So, I'll train for it right now.

I have known Mr.Kodo before because my professor had told me his great story. She said that he studied very hard while he was a college student and thanks to that, he was able to get such a great job. She also said he plays a lively part in his job. I respect him very much as my SENPAI. I want to study English very hard and find "Good English." I was fascinated with his words, "a subject which you have affection for will help you someday." I believe in these words and I want to love English more and more.

[TITLE]Thank you for Today's lecture. It's interesting.
I learned that "good English" means "consideration" for the other people, yes, it's true. When we want to tell something to other people. We had better try to tell them so that it's easier to understand. Then, we can communicate our opinions and feelings easily. It's so good. Fantstic. And, I've decided to do a lot of things from now on. So I may gain something special from what I did. It's not easy but I'll fight for my fantastic future.

I was glad to listen to the speech of my senior at our university. At the end of his speech, he told us that going abroad is a good experience. After going abroad, we could have a specific or clear purpose in our mind. I haven't decided whether I would study abroad or not now. However, owing to his speech, I thought I should go abroad. I'll try to use "3C" somewhere.
