First of all, I'd really like to say that I loved the way she spoke! How she spoke was so interesting, friendly but also professional. I thought her speaking showed her exact personality and I'd like to try to speak like her.

I think if I study English and I'm interested in other countries I'm supposed to know about Japan. We have beautiful culture, history and people but Japanese just don't recognize them, so when I had guests from foreign countries, I want to be ready to tell Japanese culture and be proud of this country!

Her story was so interesting. And her English was very clear and easy to understand. She seems to love Japan very much. She knows about Japan a lot and values on Japanese tradition. I want to follow her example.

Thank you for a precious lecture. I like smiles. I also think smiles are very very important when we communicate and I think smiles are the entrance of happiness. If I always smile, bad things go somewhere. So I want to be smiling always!!

I didn't know why she explained her name. But if she does so, guests do not forget her name. It is a good way. I think she is a good interpreter. I know it is difficult to be an interpreter. I guess she studies a lot. I respect her. I want many foreign people to visit Japan and know wonderful Japanese culture.

I like her character. Thank you for inviting her. I had a good time.

First of all, I was interested in the meanings of Akiko Matsuoka's name. I have never heard such an introduction, so I want to do so. I was shocked to know that Japan was low in the ranking of foreigners' reception. I thought Japanese tourism was prosperous, but it's only among Japanese.

By the way, she said Japanese are reserved. I think so, too. I want all Japanese to be active, and I want to be so.

I'm impressed with page 11. There are wonderful words and I remembered my truth figure. Ms. Akiko Matsuoka looks very happy and solid. She is very beautiful. I really aspire to be like her. I want to live like her. I want to live brightly like her! This is good time for me to meet her. If it is possible, I want to hear more of her speaking. Thank you!

I enjoyed Ms. Matsuoka's lecture very much. I greatly agree with her idea that verbal communication should be clear and understandable because it is fleeting. I think that her tips on how to communicate with people from overseas can be applied to my class everyday. Another thing that I noticed in her lecture was that a smile was an essential tool for removing a communication barrier between the speaker and listener.

I was really impressed and enjoyed today's lecture and now, I'm interested in her job so much! Sounds really fun and amazing.  We can meet a lot of people, travel in Japan and know Japanese culture and places more!! What a wonderful job the tour guide is! Actually one of my friends is coming to Japan around the New Year's day, so I'll tell him all what I learned today♪♪ Thank you so much.

I didn't know that Torii had two functions. I want to pay attention next time when I pass through one. I'd like to remove my impurities when I go to Atsuta Shrine! Generally speaking, Japanese are modest, so I think they may not be cut out for speaking in front of many people. But I want to try to smile when I speak to someone.

Listening to Ms. Matsuoka's speech, I imagined that this country would be more developed as a tourism nation in future. If the plan is realized, Japanese people may have more occasions to come into contact with foreign culture while they are still children. If foreigners visit Japan more often, people will feel foreign culture closer. Also, people will make an effort to communicate with tourists from overseas. For example, Japanese people might be asked some questions that they feel different from their own culture!

I've heard on TV news that the Japan Tourism Agency was established. When I watched the news, I also got to know that visitors to Japan were very few compared with those to other countries. The Japan Tourism Agency, I expect, will conduct much more PR activities. Although Japan is an expensive country to visit and travel in, I want people from overseas to know the good points of beautiful Japan. In addition to this, I think the government has to improve a system for foreigners: for example, explanations in English or other languages should be added to road signs. I hope many tourists from overseas could enjoy their stay in Japan more easily!

[TITLE] Having a great sense of humor
I really enjoyed today's lecture!! My friend was working as a tour guide for Japanese tourists in Japan. She told me that a tour guide was such a hard job, so I didn't think I'd want to be one. But, after listening to Akiko-san's lecture, I became so interested in being a tour guide. My dream is to be a tour guide and travel to all parts of Japan with my friends in Europe! (P. S. My name is "a girl keeping a branch from a tall tree!")

I'm thinking about being a tour guide in Japan for foreigners. I learned Tourism in the States. I was very attracted by the international travel business. I was very glad to be here to find out knowledge, the level of the skills needed and character which are very important keys to be one of the people doing an international business. That will help me thinking about my career from now on. Because I'm trying to hunt for a jot right now.

I'm shy and I can't talk fluently with someone who I first meet. It takes me a little while to become firm friends. I'll show my attitude that I'm interested in you or I want to make friends with you when I meet my future friends, from now on.

And I would like to explain much better about Japanese things. When I was a high school student, one of my foreign friends asked me about Japanese culture. But I couldn't answer that question and I was so embarrassed. So I think it's important to understand my own country.

It's very interesting that the foreigners are interested in things which we think are usual.
