I think his career and experience is precious and very interesting. He sometimes spoke Japanese to make us understand easily, so I wasn't confused. Thank you for your speech.

Thank you for talking about many important things for work. I'm very negative and I don't have a planned future, so I'm greatly shocked. I think I have to become independent. I'll never forget your talk. Thank you very much!!

[TITLE] My Career and Work Experience
Some times I think what I should do after I graduate from this University. I like British and American cultures, but I'm not a good English speaker, but I hear today's lecture, and get the courage to try something new. Thank you.

His words made me think a lot about my life, my future, etc... especially in the last part. From now, I'm going to read newspapers to set my targets!!

I have a question for Mr. Egawa. If you have a chance, would you like to work again in Citibank? I think ... no!

It was a meaningful lecture. I was impressed by his attitude toward working at the company. He had a vision about what he wanted to do, how openly he accepted his duties and moved onto other sections in the company.

As he said, I will make a plan and set the due date, then before the date comes, I will review my performance on the plan, and then adjust it! Yes, review is necessary.

It was a good opportunity to hear about this kind of experience. Pretty soon, I'll have to start looking for a job, but I didn't have enough motivation to go for it. But, Mr. Egawa's lecture encouraged me a lot. I liked his advice to take notes and make one's own dictionary and also to set a date to complete a goal. These days I was getting very lazy, but I want to do this from today!

I was very interested in Mr. Egawa's last slide. Now what I'm thinking is---"In what direction am I heading?" In his presentation he said, "Use a road map and think: 'Where am I? Where would I like to be? And how do I get there?'" I want to think about these things and I will decide what I have to do now. If it's possible, I want to finish what I've decided by December 30 and review it on January 1.

He said that to develop ourselves on our own, we have to be faithful to five items. He said these are the basics. Actually, I have more of these. I think so. For example, we have to analyze, summarize things, that is, we have to think deeply. But I can't do so. It is very difficult to think about something deeply. I would like Mr. Egawa to teach me the way we have to do so.

Anyway, this class is very significant. Thank you!!

I came to understand the importance of "the basics" through this lecture. Mr. Egawa has so many experiences of working in foreign countries and I think it is not only exciting but also hard or difficult. He got over the difficulties and looked very tough. I want to be a person who works very hard and be proud of myself someday just like him. I think it is very important to be honest and try to communicate with people.

[TITLE] Impression about Today's Presentation
I am so impressed by his presentation. I strongly agreed with reading newspapers. He recommended it to us, because he mentioned that they are edited. That is why the information would be more reliable than information which we can find on the internet. This year, I have to develop myself as much as possible, and today's lecture is really helpful!

Thus, I am going to try to do the things which I have written on the paper.

It was a very interesting story. How wonderful working overseas might be! Of course it's not easy and may be often difficult to understand people from different backgrounds. But, it must give us more knowledge and teach us how to think. His story taught me so. I'll start working next April and want to try "the basics." Of course even now, I'll try it and always want to grow.

One thing that I get from this speech was to have an open-eye to the world. I haven't thought about the religions or cultural problems so much. However, he mentioned the food at the party; there are many people who can't have pork or beer because of their religious reason and in this case, chicken is the safest to serve to them. This story was very interesting to me, and I thought it was good to know when we work overseas.

First of all, I was impressed by Mr. Egawa's English. Second, I was impressed by his career---especially the number of places where he had worked. Finally, I learned what I should do from now.

Overall, his speech reminded me of the time when I worked at Marriot Hotel in L.A. I freaked out at first facing many difficulties, but at the same time, I learned some important things. He just mentioned the same things I learned: for example, thoroughness, flexibility, broad-minded approach, and understanding for difference. Now I realized those things could be my strength. Also, I got some tips such as reading newspapers to improve my weak points.
