[TITLE] About Learning Point
Today's lecture was very good for me.

I know the importance of English. But I think other languages are also important. Now I'm majoring in Spanish. I want be a person who can speak English and Spanish and know Japanese culture. I think these things are very important for me to succeed as a really good person.

[TITLE] Job Experience and English
Going abroad to work is, I think, a big challenge. My father worked in the US before, and now he's working in Europe like Mr. Masui. However, my father didn't like English when he was young, so he has many difficulties, but he doesn't hesitate to speak to foreigners. Even if his English is very poor, he always tries to communicate. I think this thought is important to all the people, and I respect Mr. Masui who always finds some way of improving.

[TITLE] English: They Key to the World
First of all, I was very impressed by Mr. Masui's English.

I want to improve my English, and I always concentrate on writing English sentences or learning English words by heart. But I realized I should learn more about Japanese culture, history and so on. I want to be an international person who has broad interests and deep knowledge of many branches!

[TITLE] Chance
Toyota is a big company and in Mr. Masui's job he had lots of opportunities to go abroad on business. That made me more interested in working in Toyota but I have to think about what the real future job is. I believe that we can use English anywhere we work and we have lots of opportunities to go abroad. I wanna get that chance!! To get those kinds of chances I must be more curious and smart. Whether I take the opportunity or not depends on my ability to notice. And I'd really love to get the chance!!

[TITLE] The Importance of Humor
Thank you very much for your presentation.

My biggest impression of this presentation is your humor. Of course what you talked about in this class is interesting and I enjoyed your overseas experience and realized how big Toyota is. But what I'm impressed most is how you involved the audience in your speech. You used lots of funny stories and episodes and it made your speech effective and fascinating. I think one of the best points is: "the respect of people." I want to make presentations like you, effective and full of knowledge but attractive. Again, thank you for your speech.

[TITLE] More Languages…
The last slide says…Third Language. It sounds nice but just not that easy. Some people do speak more than a few languages. They must have worked on them hard. What I realized in the last few years is that some people are good at picking up words from unfamiliar languages. That is important, but what's more important I think is how hard you work on those languages, and how much you really want to speak them. It feels always good to achieve things especially when they are hard to achieve. That's what this life is all about.

[TITLE] Working Overseas
Today our society is getting more and more international. And there are many people who work overseas. I also want to work overseas, so I'm glad to hear Mr. Masui's lecture and experiences. As Mr. Masui said, it is very important not only to have great English skills but also to have identity as a Japanese and to be interested in culture and sports and so on and to be able to speak a third language. Today's lecture encouraged me and I want to study harder to work overseas in the future. As TOYOTA, everything grows up even if it was immature at first. So I think I also have more room to grow up.

[TITLE] -
To communicate with people from other countries, we have to know the background, which I learned today. Moreover, we have to know Japanese culture. I learned Japanese History when I was a high school student, and I liked it but I forgot most of them. If I have an opportunity and introduce Japanese culture, my knowledge of Japanese History will shame me.

It's important to learn English. And it's also important to know our own culture.

[TITLE] Toyota Company
In today's lecture, I noticed that Toyota became more international than before and I was surprised that their employee's TOEIC test is getting better than before. I had the same experience as Mr. Masui's daughter. I really struggled with English when I was in England and I complained to my father. (Sorry, Dad.) But now, I think that was a supreme experience in my life. I'm really interested in Toyota, so I felt happy to hear what I need to do to join Toyota Company.

[TITLE] TOYOTA in the World
I'm thinking of working for TOYOTA in the future, so today's lecture (last week's too) was really interesting for me. As Mr. Masui said, I don't know about Japan much; I do feel I need to learn about Japanese history, culture and so on as a student learning languages so I can work all over the world. I want to study both English and Spanish hard during my university life so I can use them for my job in the future――hopefully for TOYOTA!

[TITLE] The Key to the World
Mr. Masui gave us a great speech. What impressed me was "learning points" that he suggested to us: concentrating only on English won't lead you to be a good speaker. You have to have interests in diverse knowledge, which would be very effective in conversations.

As for TOYOTA cars, I think our life will be incredibly convenient if such models as Mr. Masui talked about at the end of his speech are actually materialized.

[TITLE] Identity as Japanese
The most impressive thing in Mr. Masui's speech was one of the learning points: "identity as Japanese." I really agree with his idea. When I talk with people from other countries, I am deemed as a representative of the Japanese; as long as I have a Japanese face, I can't escape from this sort of expectation. I once experienced an embarrassing situation where I couldn't tell some historical facts about Japan to my friends from overseas. That's why we have to learn about Japanese things!

[TITLE] How Should We Change?
By hearing Mr. Masui's speech, I was shocked to know how tolerant American society could be to people from other countries whereas Japanese are not. I think Japanese society has been changing, but it's not enough. For example, the word "Gaijin" hasn't disappeared yet.

I have the experience of living in a foreign country and have thought how tolerant and kind people there could be. It's time for us to change! But how should we change? This is still unfinished business for us.
