Thank you for your amazing speech. I really loved your culture's music. The instruments both made very beautiful sounds, and what is more, your voice was so pure and strong. I could have listened to the songs longer. In addition to that, I enjoyed singing the song with you. Thank you so much. I also became interested in the poetry. I mean the pictures with words written using bamboo pens. Those pictures were very fine and colorful. I want to see more of them if I have a chance. What I wanted to ask you is about Iran's flag (before the revolution): I wonder why the lion is the central symbol of the flag? I also became interested in the fact that there are many similarities between Japan and Iran. The big tower (similar to the Sky Tree) was awesome, also the night view at Tehran was very very romantic. I really had fun with your speech. Thank you.

I am very happy to have an opportunity to learn about Persian culture today. Persian poetry may have started about 3000 years ago, but I realized that poetry is still alive in people's everyday life: street names of the cities come from poetry, and Poet's tombs harmonize with the city and a function as parks. Also, the winter solstice and a New Year's Day, poetry plays an important role. I think these uses of poetry are very wonderful because cultures exist in people's everyday life. Lastly, I am happy to hear speaker's beautiful voice and see her beautiful performance.

I found out that Iran has a vast landscape. It has mountains, deserts, and even sea. Although, there were places that looked like Japan, the scale of the landscape is totally different. I thought the rich landscape gave the Iranian people a good imagination. The thing that I was most impressed by is that the Iranian people treasure poetry, even now. Japan also has many old poems, but we rarely read them in our daily life. When I heard the poem about a crow and a fox, I could feel what part she was reading from her expression.

Thank you for your lovely lecture. To tell the truth, I didn't really know about Iran and Persian culture. But now that I know a little bit about it, I want to learn more. There's three things that made me think this way. First, I thought Persian poetry's rhythm and meaning are very beautiful and it made me feel very relaxed. Second, the thing that Iran and Japan have in common are very interesting, such as kotatsu and some phrases that mean the same thing in both countries. Finally, the songs that you sang were amazing. The melody of the santour was so beautiful and the tombak had a really cool sound too. I would like to listen to more Persian songs on the internet and I wish more people will get to know about Iran and the Persian culture.

Thank you for your wonderful speech. I'd like to know more Persian poems, I think that it is a good idea to know about Persia through singing a song. Even if people don't know each other's language, music is a worldwide communication tool. I agree with your thought that people judge others only nationality. Nationality is just where you were born. Character is more important to judge if someone is "sugoi!!" or not. I wish more Japanese people will come to know about Persia.

It was a very good opportunity to hear about Iran and its culture because I did not know anything about it. There are mainly two things I learned. One is that Japan and Iran have a lot in common like we eat rice, and have a big mountain that fascinates people. I thought that the buildings and architecture in Iran were very beautiful. Now, I am very interested in visiting the country. Another point is that people in Iran love Persian poetry. I found it amazing for poetry to be a big part of the culture for people there because I know that it's not always easy to express feelings in words.

I really enjoyed this class, I didn't know about Iran before I listened to today's speech, but, today I learned a lot of things about Iran. I had thought there is only a desert area in Iran. However, I came to know that there is also green area. The green area's picture is very beautiful. I'm impressed with the nature. And Iran has a lot of things that look like Japan. It is very interesting, so I want to visit Iran. And finally, Ms.Yoshinari's voice and music or her reading of poetry gave me a good impression. I think she has a beautiful voice. I want to sing like her. I think her voice created a feeling of emotion in the audience.

Fear is a big intimidatory word. Because of gear, we have ignorance. But actually, the reality is that your ignorance wakes the fear the way it is. It's better to stay away from things we don't know about, or should I say that is easier. All the stereotypes are born this way: ignorance and fear. This presentation not only was necessary, it was a more discovery of a country that I never had the courage to try to understand to erase my ignorance. Because no matter how open-minded you are, stereotypes born of fear affect everyone. It made me discover a beautiful universe that I never heard of and that I regret not investigating earlier. It's full of magic and kindness and I will never forget that. I truly appreciate it.

Every culture is beautiful in itself, especially if it has existed since the oldest times. Before today's lecture, I knew almost nothing about Iran and how atmosphere its culture and nature are. There aspects of Persian culture are extremely beautiful: celebrating New Year in the beginning of spring, fortune telling, and national respect for Iran's poets, using poems and proverbs in daily life to give opinions and advice in a mild non-offensive way, poetry's great role in the Persian peoples' life. And the music! These semitone, and rhythms of the Persian music gives you a feeling of something mysterious, and even magical. This music, this culture is true magic.

While closing our eyes and listening carefully to Nahid Nikzad Yoshihara's stories, we could easily imagine how it is to live in Persia. The speaker not only showed us a different world in many breathtaking pictures of Persia, she also shared a little bit of her culture with us while singing. Furthermore, we learned another value of mankind. Where last time Andrea told us about the world's currency "trust", in Persia it seems to be that knowing many poems is the essence of this country. All in all, I am glad that Nahid shared her culture with us and encourage us to participate in it while singing.
