演題 A Way to Improve Your Pronunciation of English

感想

スペイン 1年

Today’s lecture is very easy to understand and very fun.  I usually don’t care about to my pronunciation.  I think they should teach pronunciation to Japanese children more in Japanese education.  We didn’t practice our pronunciation in junior high school or high school.  It is not difficult to practice it, so I think they should do it.  It will be practice of conversation too.  I decide to practice always and improve my pronunciation.

I can’t pronounce English well.  Although I want to improve my skill of pronunciation, I can’t have confidence and hesitate to speak English.  But, I could get a lot of secrets of pronunciation today.  So I want to practice at home.  Also, I want to talk with other people in English more.  We have iCoToBa in this school, so I want to take advantage of this condition and have more chance to talk with native speakers.  And I want to gain confidence.

Thank you for coming today, I’m happy to listen to your speech because I’m interested in going overseas but I can’t speak English well.  So, today’s presentation excited me very much.  I have one question.  I want to go overseas but I don’t have enough money.  So I will go there only for a short period.  I want to practice speaking English in Japan.  Can I do it?  Today, I learn many things.  Especially, “Big Old Clock” is fun.  I want to listen to English songs!

Thank you for your lecture today.  I’ve learned almost the same contents of the lecture in the English Phonetic class.  In the class, we clapped our hands at the syllables with the stress during reading aloud.  Through the class and today’s lecture, I think studying to improve pronunciation of English is very fun and it’s nice for children because they can study it without pain.  I remember that I was taught a song “Humpty-Dumty” when I was in elementary school.  It was my first experience that I leaned the English pronunciation.  As you think, children should learn it as soon as possible.

Today’s lecture is so interesting.  When I was a freshman at this university, I took English phonetics class.  Then I learned rhythm, accent and so on.  But I forgot learning it, so it is good to learn again.  Mr. Teshima’s pronunciation is very good and it is easy to hear.  So I want to speak like him.  So now I want to begin to practice.  I have heard a song before in Japanese, but I heard it in English for the first time.  To sing caring pronunciations is a little difficult.  But it is easy to listen.  Moreover Mr. Teshima gave us the lecture pleasantly, so I took the lecture happily.

I have learned the pronunciation of English from the age of junior high school.  But I didn’t know how to make “stresses” in the sentence.  I tried to know it by hearing the songs written with English.  Thanks to the songs of the Beatles and Queens, I have been praised about my pronunciation two or there times but I couldn’t improve stressing in the sentence.  However, today’s lecture gives me how to practice for improve stressing.  Thanks for today’s lecture.

Thank you so much for your amazing lecture today!  I didn’t like studying the English Phonetics at all when I was a freshman here, but I really enjoyed it today.  Your explanation made it clear that the important (essential) words in the sentences are normally pronounced stronger than the others.  When you said the words we could guess the meaning without a complete sentence, it was a lot easier for me to do the exercises that you’ve given to us today.  I hope I can improve my pronunciations by the practices you told us today!  Thank you very much!

Today’s lecture is very interesting especially for Japanese students.  English pronunciation is a serious problem for Japanese, and they sometimes give up improving pronunciation because of it’s difficulty.  However, today’s lecture is easy to understand, so I try to speak English in the way I learned today.  Thank you for your wonderful presentation.

When he first said that he’s going to talk about English pronunciation, I thought that the lecture will be about how to pronounce “r”s and “th”s and how to use your tongue, and so on.  I was surprised that it was all about stress patterns.  Just making differences in “weak” and “ordinary” syllables made my English sound way better.  I always thought that improving pronunciation was hard, but what I learned in today’s lecture is quite simple and doesn’t require any special technique.  I was very fascinated by his “approach from a different angle”

It was a valuable lecture for me since I’ve been confused about stress patters of sentences.  He gave us a lot of practice sessions of pronunciation.  So I was able to learn not just passively but also actively, which was very enjoyable.  What impressed me most in his words was “Teachers should speak correct pronunciation”.  I was impressed by this maybe because most of the teachers I met in junior high and high schools valued grammatical issues more than correct pronunciation of English.  I think I could learned a lot in this lecture.
