I found Pakistan was a very interesting place hearing today’s lecture.  There are many differences between Japan and Pakistan.  I’m very surprised that Pakistan is divided into 4 parts and people of each part have different languages and cultures.  I think it’s very exciting.  In Japan, people speak only Japanese (although they have dialects), so Pakistan is an interesting place for me.  Also, Pakistan has the border with China, Afghanistan, Iraq, India, and Arabian Sea.  People in Pakistan may have opportunities to communicate with people in such countries.  However, Japan is islands and far from other countries.

I haven’t heard about Pakistan so much so far, but I was interested in the country.  I was surprised to hear that there are a lot of remains there.  I studied about Indus, Mesopotamia, and so on when I was at junior high school and high school.  I want to go there and see a lot of remains someday.  I was also surprised to hear that Pakistan has a relationship with Japan.  If Pakistan falls into bad situations, I want to help them with fund-raising, and so on.

Today’s lecture was very a good opportunity to know Pakistan.  I didn’t know about countries of the Middle East well and I even had prejudice against Pakistan.  But thanks to Anees, I could change my image of Pakistan.  Traditional clothes and magnificent scenery was very impressive for me.  To learn different culture broadened my horizons.  I hope we can deepen the friendship between Japan and Pakistan from now on.

Today, I heard an interesting lecture.  Thanks to today’s lecture, I could change the image of Pakistan.  I thought Pakistan is a dangerous country, but I could see beautiful nature and very outstanding ancient ruins.  I want to go to Pakistan.  At last Mr. Anees said that he loves Japan.  I was very happy to hear that.  I didn’t know that this year is a special year for Japan and Pakistan.  I hope both two countries become better friends than now.

I’m really interested in living and going to University both in Japan and Finland.  I am surprised that there are lot of difference between Japanese and Finnish university.  I also experienced that Japanese furniture and doors are so small when I came back to Japan from the U.S.A.  I think Japanese students in University have two types of people.  One is students who have clear goals and study hard, and the other is students who don’t have clear goals and do part-time job harder than study.  I heard that the latter type of students are almost only in Japan, and foreign university students each have each clear goals.  So I think Japanese students should follow those students.  And I want to go to foreign university, someday, because I want to take an objective view of my country.

I didn’t know about Pakistan so much, but now I’m interested in their wonderful history, interesting culture, good foods, people…..  I was surprised to hear Pakistan has 4 different languages!  I think it is rare.  Perhaps, it sometimes causes problem, but also it makes Pakistan’s language education.  For example, people can speak Urdu and English.  I think language have big relation with culture, and Pakistan has the border with many countries.  Are there some big differences of culture among the countries?  I consider to many Japanese people have a wrong image about Pakistan.  We should have right knowledge about that.

I could get an opportunity to know Pakistan.  I’m ashamed to say that Pakistan and Japan have built a 60-year-relationship.  Also, unlike Japan, Pakistan share the border with four countries.  So, they have mutual influence on each other.  I don’t think Afghanistan is safe.  And this makes it difficult to travel around Pakistan.  But Pakistan is a beautiful country, where famous civilization happened.  So, I’d like to visit Pakistan someday.  In the future, I hope Japan and Pakistan will continue to keep a good relationship.

Thank you for your interesting lecture.  I had no knowledge about Pakistan before this class.  I was very surprised the relationship between Pakistan and Japan has been kept for about 60 years.  In this lecture, I could watch many buildings which were build in Indas civilization.  They are very beautiful so I want to visit there in the future.  I wish that Pakistan keeps peace forever.  Anyway, the relationship between Pakistan and Japan will be deeper.

Today’s lecture was very interesting for me because I didn’t know a lot about Pakistan.  I thought the 1st foreign minister of Pakistan as a visionary person because even when Japan was in a bad condition, he said someday Japan would be a country that will contribute to world peace.  I realize that Japanese people should know more about Pakistan that helped Japan to recover from many difficult situations in the history of Japan.

I knew the name of Pakistan, but I have never heard about Pakistan.  From this lecture I learned a lot of characteristics of Pakistan.  I think in Japan, few people study Urdu because they think there is little demand for the language.  But in fact, Japan and Pakistan have established friendship, so to deepen the friendship, it needs that some people are able to speak Urdu even if we communicate in English.  Knowing Pakistan’s language is very effective to know each other.
