TITLE

Thank you for your wonderful lecture. I spent a very good time with you. You told us that how important the nonverbal communication is for example, facial expressions, vocalization and so on. Also you showed us American gestures and vocalizations. There were a lot of gestures I didn’t know, so I’m very glad to know them today. They are very interesting. And I want to use gestures and vocalization more. Next spring I’ll go to Mexico to study Spanish that is my second foreign language. So, when I communicate with people who live there, I want to use them. Thank you for coming today. Your smile gives me a happy time. I want to meet you and hear your lecture again.

He gave us a really entertaining talk. I learned foreign countries from a different point of view. There are many gestures and vocalizations I didn’t know and they have different meanings from Japan, so it’s instructive. Through his lecture, I knew the importance of knowing correct gestures in order to communicate with people more smoothly.

Thanks for your lecture! I enjoyed your lecture very much and I often laughed at your skillful talk! In today’s lecture, I get many Americans expressions, so I want to try to use the expression. I think that we should learn about American expressions as a student who study English. If I could do so, I enjoy English more!

I wanted to learn this! I was interested in foreign gestures. We cannot study them at school or through books. We don’t have an opportunity to know it, but we should have this knowledge if we go abroad or communicate with foreign people. It can cause big misunderstanding, so it was an informative and interesting lecture for me. I want to try to use gestures and vocalizations which I learned today.

This lecture was very very very interesting. The exam which I did in this lecture was not good. But I understood about some gestures and vocalizations. I will go to Spain to study. So I want to do gestures which I learned in this lecture, and communicate with Spanish people. This time has passed very fast. I want to take this lecture one more time. Thank you.

Today’s lecture is very interesting! He showed us a lot of gestures. I think there are many gestures which I don’t know in the world. Some gestures express the same meaning although they are different gestures. I want to know more gestures which I don’t know. His smile is very nice! I think his facial expressions are so good!

Today, I really enjoyed his interesting lecture about nonverbal communication. And moreover, I like his warm expression on his face very much. There were some gestures that I know, but there were many gestures that I don’t know, so I’m glad that I could know foreign gesture deeply. I was surprised that one gesture expresses “Good-bye” and “Hello” in America though the gestures means “Come here” in Japan. And about vocalization, I was surprised that foreign people can understand with very small differences of sound.

There were some gestures I’ve known but others I didn’t know. Even if these gestures came from Europe, some make sense even in Japan, we can understand them. I have some experience of nonverbal communication helping me to communicate with my host family. Nowaday, we have a telephone, e-mail to contact someone but we should have a good language skill. On the other hand, if we have communication by “meeting,” we don’t have to talk perfectly, we can use nonverbal communication and it also makes talking joyful.

Your lecture was really interesting! Thank you very much. Also, your English sounded easy to understand for me. I was relieved. Gestures and vocalizations is one of the most important things when we communicate with foreign people. I want to use them more to express my good feelings. I got interested in them because your talking was so good. Have a nice end of year! Thank you!

Thank you for your interesting stories, I was laughing throughtout this class!! There are gestures, facial expressions and vocalizations in nonverbal communications. There are some gestures that we don’t know, and also, there are some Japanese gestures that he feels strange. But I think it’s OK although it causes trouble sometimes, and I think it’s interesting.

I studies nonverbal communication and I learned that it’s very important for people who do not live in their own country. Gestures and vocalizations are very interesting because the meaning depends on the country. It’s very difficult for foreign people to understand those, but if I could, I could feel like a member of the country. I’m going to go to the U. S.A. this coming spring, so I’ll try to do some gestures and use vocalizations that he taught us today.

To be honest, this lecture is the best of all the lectures we took. Entertainment and learning at the same time!! Gestures and vocalizations will definitely be a part of my knowledge, and it was worth knowing them. I was surprised at the gesture of quotations, I had thought it was just meant to emphasize the word. I hope I can have more chances of using these gestures and vocalizations he taught us. Anyway, so happy to be able to hear this fun lesson and I now can’t stop trying the gestures!! I want to thank him for telling us what the most important thing is for communications.

Today’s lecture was very interesting and very funny! I have been taught about nonverbal communication before in another class. So I know how nonverbal communication is important. It is difficult to tell the details of story, but nonverbal communication is almost common, so it is very useful, I think. On the other hand, in some countries, gestures which mean the opposite are used. So when I go on a trip, I have to learn about what the gestures mean. In today’s lecture, I learned some gestures which are new to me. If I have a chance to use, I will use those gestures!

Today I noticed how many gestures there are in America and how few in Japan. Gestures sometimes makes misunderstanding. I have a question : Is there any difference about gestures in America, like among states. I think gestures are interesting but today I noticed we Japanese understand a lot of American gestures with their meanings but we don’t do that. And I also noticed something I think usual in Japan looks strange to others. It’s not a gesture but I heard that German people feel strange to see Japanese sleeping on the train and waking up when it arrives at their destination.
